Detailed Description:
Incumbents may determine best methods and procedures to follow to complete assignments. Tasks are very complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations. Decisions/actions may have an impact on the department's goals and may go beyond the department. Works under minimum supervision. Situations not covered by standard processes, procedures, and methods are referred to manager or expert resource. May provide functional guidance to others performing similar work. May be considered the expert in areas assigned. Builds internal and external relationships that require exchanging information and providing some explanations in a problem-solving capacity.
Responsibilities:
Performs monthly ESD site audits and issues related corrective action requests and summary reports.
Provides repair and maintenance of ESD stations and associated equipment.
Determines cause of failure of ESD flooring and develops and implements solutions.
Determines static charge generation of various process equipment sets and sets up an audit plan to assess impact on products.
Investigates and recommends best method for including a dissipative work surface and grounding of a new assembly stations.
Conducts ESD experiments and records results and conclusions. Recommends purchase of ESD equipment and measurement tools.
Trains ESD coordinators and ensures communication with all shifts on ESD policies, standards, and plans.
Schedules and conducts ISO audits. Documents occurrences of compliance/non-compliance with ISO Standards.
Generates reports measuring audit results.
Follows up on all non-compliance results and reports on corrective action status to management team.
Ensures all pertinent ISO information is distributed to employees and all employees have access to audit preparation procedures and standards prior to audits.
Knowledge of electrical, electromechanical and pneumatic systems and principles of operation.
Basic knowledge of methods used in the routine maintenance and repair of office and manufacturing facilities.
Basic knowledge of building operating systems.
Ability to operate complex equipment (e.g., tractors, delivery trucks, etc.) and other machinery/equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, high-lift equipment, power tools, etc.) Proof of required operator's licenses and/or certifications.
Knowledge of personal computers and Windows applications.
Excellent knowledge of quality standards.
Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of internal customers.
Physical Demands:
Duties of the position are performed in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, chemicals, operating machinery, temperature extremes, hazardous substances, etc.
Duties of the position require periodic light physical effort and exertion including prolonged repetitive motions, sitting in confined workspaces, using tools and equipment, and moving and handling materials.
Duties of the position may require periodic heavy manual effort and exertion including climbing, lifting, pulling and moving objects over 20 pounds.
Typical Experience & Education:
Certificate or Diploma with Four to six years' relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
