Quantity Surveyor

Liaising with site managers, site engineers, and other necessary people to ensure the project follows to the timeline.
Issuing payments to contractors and other employees.
Have working knowledge of basic plant, equipment and materials
Have knowledge of construction techniques on particular projects
Assist in the preparation of advice on contract procurement
Monitoring of costs to ensure that the budget isn't exceeded, and that cost savings are achieved
Preparation and negotiation of claims
Manage the commercial resources (finance) of the assigned project (or section) to maximise planned gross margin through the placement and control of contracts and subcontracts
Support the authorisation and submission of project variations
To coordinate subcontractor tender responses and provide full comparisons of all quotes
Site measurement and final account experience.
