Factory Set-Up
Prepare detailed cost estimates for all aspects of new factory set-up projects, including civil works, mechanical & electrical (M&E) systems, equipment, and furniture.Analyze bids and proposals from contractors to ensure cost competitiveness.Prepare and manage project budgets, monitoring and controlling project expenditures.Prepare variations and claims for additional works.Liaise with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure cost estimates are accurate and reflect project requirements.Feasibility Studies
Conduct quantity take-offs for proposed factory projects.Estimate construction costs and prepare feasibility reports to support investment decisions.Analyze project risks and cost implications.Final Accounts
Prepare final accounts for factory set-up projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.Manage claims resolution and final settlements with contractors.Analyze cost variances and identify areas for improvement in future projects. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field (e.g., Construction Management).Minimum 3 years of experience working as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry, preferably with experience in factory set-up projects in Malaysia.Proven experience in cost estimating, feasibility studies, and final account preparation.Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement methods.Excellent knowledge of Malaysian construction standards and regulations.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Experience with quantity surveying software (e.g., CCS CostX, Synchro) is a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
