R & D Assistant Manager (Non Halal Industry)Food Technology & Safety (Science & Technology)
Responsible for all research and development of products related activities.
Develop and formulate new products and improve existing products to optimize productivity and cost.
Work with customers on all activities related to new product development.
Develop and innovate new recipes for restaurants and restaurant management.
Conduct sensory evaluation for new and existing product samples.
Apply research into aspects of food processing, food preservation, food quality, food deterioration, packaging, storage, and machinery.
Coordinate trial runs with relevant departments for new products.
Train junior staff and supervise them for R&D tasks.
Perform ad hoc tasks assigned by superior/management from time to time.
Manage all R&D processes, procedures, and documentation.
Track and manage product development projects, reporting development status and making recommendations for action.
Responsible for R&D biweekly meetings.
Provide technical support to sales and marketing.
Continuously work on new raw materials suitability for product improvement, material replacement, and cost savings.
Passionate about research and innovation with a positive mindset in handling failure.
Work closely with the production team on product quality and planning.
Coordinate relevant departments for new product innovation.
Coordinate between teams for machinery upgrades and process improvement.
Requirements:
Candidate must possess at least a Degree inFood Science/ Food Technology/ Culinology .
Candidates with 3-5 years of related experience in theFood Manufacturing industryare preferred.
Well-versed withHACCP & GMPmanagement systems and other food-related regulations.
Analytical, well-organized, good project management skills, and equipped with multi-tasking ability.
Willing to travel when required.
Team player with good communication skills.
Proactive in seeking solutions and solving problems.
Independent and able to work with minimal supervision.
Prefer candidates who can speak and write Mandarin, as this role requires communication with internal and external parties who speak Mandarin.
