Radiation Therapist

Job Description: Deliver precise radiation treatments according to the oncologist's treatment plan and prescriptions.Position patients properly for treatment using immobilization devices and reference marks to ensure accuracy.Operate linear accelerators, CT simulators, and other radiation therapy equipment safely and effectively.Provide compassionate care to patients, explaining treatment procedures and addressing concerns.Educate patients and families about radiation therapy procedures, possible side effects, and self-care techniques.Accurately document treatments administered, patient conditions, and equipment use in electronic medical records (EMR).Document and take action as required to rectify faults, problems or difficulties with the Linear accelerator and other equipment used for patient treatment.Maintain clear communication with the radiation oncology team, including radiation oncologists and medical physicists to ensure treatment precision.Participate in treatment planning discussions with the radiation oncology team.Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare providers to coordinate patient care and ensure comprehensive treatment.

Job Requirement:Bachelor's Degree in Radiation Therapy.Minimum 2 - 3 years of experience in radiation therapy.Strong understanding of radiation safety principles and practices.Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
