Employment Contract is 1 year (renewable)This is an offshore based position.ResponsibilitiesPrimary Medical Care: Deliver comprehensive medical services to personnel at offshore sites, adhering to the company's health and medical protocols.
Emergency Management: Handle medical emergencies in line with company guidelines, consulting with the appointed Emergency Physician. Responsibilities include resuscitation, stabilization, and pre-hospital care to minimize complications.
Emergency Response Participation: Engage in simulated emergency drills and exercises with the Emergency Response Team, continually assessing and improving procedures to maintain high readiness standards.
Health Care Services:
Conduct hygiene inspections at worksites.
Implement vector control measures.
Manage communicable disease control.
Ensure potable water quality.
Oversee food handling and catering practices to maintain a healthy and conducive environment.
Clinic Operations Management:
Maintain an inventory of drugs, medical supplies, and equipment.
Oversee the disposal of clinical waste.
Inspect and maintain medical equipment and drugs regularly.
Manage dangerous drugs following company practices and the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
Personnel Records: Keep accurate records of all personnel on board, including names, affiliations, titles, and locations.
General Radio Operator Duties:
Coordinate helicopter and boat operations.
Act as the focal point for air and marine logistics.
Serve as the Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) during helicopter operations.
RequirementsMinimum of 5-year experience working as Radio Operator cum Medical Assistant (Offshore Medic) at offshore production facilities.
Minimum of 8-year experience as general medical practitioner.
Hold valid Offshore Medical and BOSIET certificates.
Recognized educational certificate or industry obtained certificate as follows:
Basic Life Support (BLS) Course.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Course.
Basic Trauma Life Support (BTLS) Course.
Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) Course.
GMDSS Training for Radio Operator.
Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) Course.
