Responsibilities
Imaging Procedures
- Perform Imaging: Operate X-rays, CT scans, MRI machines, etc.
- Prepare Patients: Explain procedures and position patients correctly.
- Adjust Equipment: Set up and adjust imaging equipment.
Patient Care
- Ensure Safety: Follow safety protocols to protect patients from radiation.
- Monitor Patients: Observe and assist patients during procedures.
Image Quality
- Assess Images: Ensure images are clear and suitable for diagnosis.
- Make Adjustments: Adjust equipment for better image quality if needed.
Documentation and Records
- Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of procedures and patient information.
- Report Findings: Provide images and preliminary findings to radiologists.
Equipment Maintenance
- Perform Maintenance: Conduct routine checks and maintenance on equipment.
- Troubleshoot: Identify and fix equipment problems.
Collaboration
- Work with Teams: Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
- Assist in Procedures: Help during procedures that require imaging guidance.
Continuing Education
- Stay Updated: Keep up with new imaging technology and techniques.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training.
Ad-hoc Tasks
- Helping with the clinic team in completing ad-hoc tasks assigned by the doctor.
