Role Overview:
As aRegional FP&A Leader , you will report directly to theCEO , pivotal in shaping the company's financial strategy and driving performance across our three key markets— Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines .
This role is ideal for a commercially minded individual with a strong passion for the food industry, exceptional financial acumen, and experience in P&L financial management.
You will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, and reporting while ensuring optimal cash flow to support the company's growth objectives.
Your insights will be crucial for strategic decision-making and maintaining financial health across our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Building and maintaining financial models to support short-term and long-term planning.
Analyzing financial and operational metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement across Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines.
Providing actionable recommendations to optimize revenue, costs, and profitability.
Leading the annual budgeting process, ensuring alignment with business goals and market priorities.
Developing rolling forecasts to monitor financial performance and inform decision-making.
Collaborating with country managers to ensure budget adherence and address variances proactively.
Monitoring and managing cash flow to ensure the availability of working capital for daily operations and strategic investments.
Conducting detailed cash flow forecasting and scenario planning to mitigate risks and improve liquidity.
Working closely with finance and operational teams to optimize payment cycles, receivables, and vendor payment schedules.
Ensuring SmartBite's business model aligns with cash flow requirements to support sustainable growth and minimize financial risks.
Oversing P&L performance across Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines, delivering in-depth analyses and insights.
Partnering with the country leads to refining unit economics and driving market-specific strategies.
Preparing and presenting comprehensive management reports to the CEO and Board of Directors, including variance analysis, key performance indicators (KPIs), and business insights.
Creating dashboards and visualizations using tools like Power BI and Tableau to enable real-time tracking of financial and operational performance.
Collaborating on high-impact initiatives such as pricing strategies, cost optimization, and new market launches.
Supporting investor relations with accurate financial projections and strategic narratives.
Driving system automation and digital transformation projects to streamline financial processes and improve reporting capabilities.
Leading relationships with Financial Institutions.
Key Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CFA or CPA certification preferred.
4-6 years of relevant experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or similar roles, ideally within the food, FMCG, or startup sectors.
Experience in leading relationships with financial institutions.
Skills:
Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Proficiency in financial reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Quicksight) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite), Finance systems (Xero)
Strong ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
Expertise in cash flow management, including forecasting and optimizing payment cycles.
