Description
You will be in charge of:
Lead and manage tax planning, tax reporting, tax audit, and tax dispute resolution activities.
Drive discussions with internal stakeholders such as finance, legal, and business units to integrate tax planning into overall business strategy and decision-making.
Oversee the direct and indirect tax compliance filings (including transfer pricing) activities in the APAC region.
Provide strategic advice on tax implications related to business operations, investments, and transactions in the APAC region.
Ensure compliance with Group's Transfer Pricing policies in different APAC geographies and Corporate Departments such as Finance and Accounting.
Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, provide relevant interpretation, assess their impact on the organization, and recommend appropriate actions.
Lead tax risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard the organization's tax position.
Develop and execute strategies and frameworks for tax optimization and/or minimize tax liabilities.
Drive alignment with Global Tax Team and other functional groups to define and implement transfer pricing strategies, tax compliance, and tax reporting controls.
Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Profile
You will be suitable for this role if you:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field. Advanced degree (e.g., Master's, CPA, CA, or equivalent) preferred.
Minimum 10 years experience in tax planning and compliance within the APAC region, preferably in a multinational corporation or Big 4 accounting firm.
Strong understanding of international tax principles, transfer pricing, and cross-border transactions.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop a team of tax professionals.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
