How can you make an impact?
This position will be based in McGraw Hill, Malaysia - Kuala Lumpur. This role will be responsible for performing HR duties supporting designated business teams and geographic regions working closely with the Business HR team and HR Communities of Expertise (COE) to implement HR strategies.
A typical day might include:
Experience working with workforce in multiple countries inAPACincluding Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, China, Taiwan, Korea and other countries.
HR Support:Collaborate with HR Business Partners and HR COEs to support and execute HR initiatives.
Employee Relations:Handle employee relations issues including conducting investigations, resolving conflicts, providing guidance on disciplinary actions, and reductions in force.
Performance Management:Work with Business HR Partners and HR COEs to implement performance management programs and provide guidance to managers and employees on performance-related issues.
HR Policy Implementation:Assist in development and revision of employment policies applicable to designated geographic areas ensuring compliance with local and national employment laws.
HR Operations:Lead and participate in transformation projects to simplify, automate and streamline processes. Act as advocate for the HR Operating model, driving the model forward and being a key part of the change management / communications to move to the new model.
Talent Acquisition & Retention:Coordinate with HR COEs and Managers on recruiting and retaining talent. Provide Talent Acquisition support such as scheduling interviews and making offers.
DEI&B:Offer expertise in DEI&B matters and be a champion of McGraw Hill culture.
Support onboarding and offboarding programs, includinggenerating employment contracts, maintaining employee files and managing reductions in force.
We're looking for someone with:
Proven experience in a similar role, working within a corporate environment that supports business and talent growth.
A solid understanding of HR best practices and employment laws.
The confidence, and possessing the right communication skills, to partner with business leaders.
The necessary skills to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Proficiency with the MS Office suite. Preference will be given to those who have previous experience using Workday.
