Job Purpose (Brief summary of the position, i.e. why the position exists) 1. To manage, support, monitor and ensure consistent adherence to standards & compliance of regulatory matters in market where Baerlocher Malaysia is operating/present; 2. To ensure product and material management (PMM) are handle in a proper manner and monitor the conformity in accordance to any specific regulatory requirements; and  3. To support legal entity within Asia regionally and local operation related to regulatory matters as and when require.     Qualifications (Minimum Qualification Required For The Position) Bachelor's degree in scientific area preferably in Analytical Chemistry/ Chemistry/ Plastic or Polymer Technology/ Applied Science or related Science discipline Minor background/ basic understanding in Law is an additional advantage Registered with any relevant professional body is an additional advantage   Experience (Minimum Number Of Years And Type Of Experience Required For The Position) Minimum 5 years of experience working in legal, chemical regulation, product regulatory affairs and compliance with relevance exposure in MNC manufacturing environment setting or heavily regulated product industry in a similar capacity. Sound knowledge and experience in multi-jurisdictional compliance particularly in Asia Pacific countries regulatory requirements and GHS building block that relevance to business nature  Strong understanding of the regulatory approval process and the ability to interpret standards and maintain declarations related to compliance for Asia Pacific market Work well within a dynamic, matrixed organization and ambiguous environment Excellent at running multiple projects at the same time while maintaining schedules and meeting deadlines Excellent written and communication in English. Conversant in other 3rd languages is an additional advantage Prior experience in SAP application handling and management   Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities (Describes the core areas in which the job must obtain results in order to achieve its job purpose) To source and maintain good regulatory channels relationship in countries where Baerlocher present such as government bodies/authorities/council, trades association or industry's representative, collaborating with regulatory partners in getting prompt updates on any changes or revisions to all regulatory matters to the interest of the company. To participate in efforts to prepare the business to comply with various product regulations, submit regulatory registrations, notifications, and other required documents to ensure the deadlines set by related authorities are met. To handle project, paperwork and maintain good record keeping related to the regulatory compliance activities in Asia Pacific region for easy retrieval. To participate and attend meetings and conferences to keep track legislative updates, regulatory enactments with relevant reporting requirements, changes of rules framework and development of regulatory landscape  To participate, assist and work closely with members in the Regional Regulatory Cluster Working Group and cross functional teams within Baerlocher Group of Companies on the compliance strategy, advocacy activities, recipe and chemical substances management. To collect, monitor and handle the regulatory inputs/standard updates related to materials and finished products content, communicate potential impact to business and provide timely update to all interested parties internally (i.e.: Sales & Marketing/Product Development/Production/ Supply Chain/ Safety team, etc.) in ensuring products specs are within regulatory compliance according to various nations/countries requirements. To work together with RRPS for Safety Data Sheet (SDS) activity and compliance enquiries related to products and materials registration, regulatory changes, updates requirement fulfilment, monitor and maintain the records availability and related procedures for easy reference/retrieval. To support and assist local operation activity as and when require and manage inter-coordination on the verification statement of compliance documentation required for business process which related to products and materials. To assist in executing trade control (registration, amendment and inactivation of PHAN, FERT and ROH), chemical regulation, product safety related activities and ensure compliance through SAP module  To evaluate and analyze product regulatory data for system and maintain up-to-date raw material database as a monitoring tool in fulfillment of the compliance/obligation including archive of regulatory filings and documents activities. To prepare and update regulatory activity and chemical substances management reports and maintain the record by weekly/monthly including all relevant scope/area coverage. To carry out other assigned duties entrusted by superior from time to time   Competencies (Critical competencies & skills required of the position) 1. Functional (Skills & Knowledge) Report writing with critical attention to details and deadlines Well-versed with all Microsoft Office functions  Conversant with language of Law Strong in key-project management basis Exceptional organizational skills and ability to continually meet critical deadlines while performing in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment. Some travel may be required Knowhow on analytical testing and protocols is an additional advantage 2.
