Regional Total Rewards Lead

This role is to lead and develop the C&B/rewards strategies, policies and processes to drive growth of people, business and impact for the Company and all subsidiaries within Southeast Asia.
It is focused on delivering competitive Total Rewards programs that attract, motivate and retain key employees that are aligned to the Company business needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop a standardized Total Rewards process (including benefit design, performance management, rewards & recognition, talent retention), documentation, policy and system that can be used and proliferated across the region and subsidiaries based on business needs.
Play an active role in our ongoing transformation and support in a range of Total Reward topics to support our different change initiatives, both within our Head office and in collaboration with the regions.
Manage recurring compensation and benefit activities, job role framework, pay reviews and corporate benchmarking.
Partner with site HR to build Total Rewards strategies that support the business initiatives, diagnosing business challenges, exploring alternative solutions and recommending solutions with the business growth and expansion strategy and needs of the organization.
Analyze compensation and benefits programs and develop plans to implement those which support business goals and objectives, are geographically appropriate, and ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
Drive process improvement and deployment of best practices for optimizing the use of Total Rewards tools, drive HR process optimization, standardization, and innovation.
Monitor industry and external market and provide analysis on the impact of relevant developments in the compensation and benefits areas.
Partner with HR and management teams in support of headcount budget cost management, competitive benchmarking and structuring of new hire and promotion offers.
Ensure execution of policies and procedures related to pay practices.
Participate and lead regional Total Rewards projects implementation.
Create and deliver training to HR, managers, and employees on compensation philosophy and processes, and to employees on executive benefits.
Monitor, measure and report on the performance of the Total Rewards function within the region, identify shortfalls, and recommend solutions.
Provide guidance and coaching to the site HR and act to remove any blockers/obstacles impending their ability to meet site requirements.
Stakeholder engagements, and identify opportunities for new Total Rewards activities within their region.
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in C&B or Total Rewards lead role or manager and equivalent level of experience in Human Resources.
Has experience leading and working with multi-national team members across the Asia region.
Proven records and strategies in Benefit design, rewards or recognition or any talent retention program.
A strong understanding of human resources programs, policies and practices; specifically, those related to recruitment, employment equity and workplace diversity.
Bachelor's degree and post-graduate education, with a preferred focus on Human Resources, or equivalent work experience.
Experience designing and implementing new programs/practices regionally, especially in Asia countries.
COMPETENCY (TECHNICAL/NON-TECHNICAL)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and strategic planning.
Creative & positive thinking in providing new ideas and recommendations.
Strong knowledge of local labor laws and related authority policy and SOP.
Ability to influence, understand and manage diversity as it relates to total rewards (cultural, nationality, religion, gender, other).
Familiarity and competence with HR systems and standard office suite software (e.g., Microsoft applications, etc.).
Proven track record of leading development, implementation and completion of Total Rewards projects.
LEADERSHIP & MANAGEMENT COMPETENCY
Able to lead the team and provide coaching/guidance to team members or direct reports when required.
Able to recommend new initiatives and provide solid solutions when issues arise.
Able to communicate clearly and pass information down to team members in a timely manner.
Able to engage, develop and motivate the team to achieve higher performance.
LANGUAGE SKILL
