Job DescriptionThe Reliability Engineer delivers results by originating and developing analysis methods to determine the reliability of components, equipment, and processes.
This role involves acquiring and analyzing data, preparing diagrams, charts, drawings, calculations, and reports to define reliability problems and make recommendations for improvements.
The Reliability Engineer conducts analysis of reliability problems and investigates to determine the required reliability approach for particular situations, considering cost limitations for equipment uptime/downtime, repair/replacement costs, and availability of materials/equipment to avoid machine failures.
Some common forms of analysis related to reliability engineering include:
Translating breakdown events into required preventive maintenance programs
Initiating equipment modifications for enhanced reliability
Defining maintenance standards & procedures
Reliability hazard analysis
Root cause analysis
Functional analysis and functional failure analysis
Testability analysis
Operational hazard analysis
Preventative/Planned Maintenance Optimization (PMO)
The Reliability Engineer supports the development of the culture of equipment ownership in the team with high action orientation and commitment to results, which delivers manufacturing excellence.
This role contributes to the Compelling Business Need – Work Plan, CBN, long-term (Value Creation Plan - VCP), and mid-term (Annual Operations Plan - AOP) plans cascaded from the area strategy which continuously over-delivers on company goals.
QualificationsUniversity Degree (Bachelor) or higher in Engineering or another related field.
