Dow Thailand Group has a vacancy for aReliability Engineer position , located at Asia Industrial Estate, Rayong. You will facilitate development of the business/facility maintenance strategy and solve reliability and availability losses through application of reliability technology and tools to enable the plant to meet its business plan and strategy.
Responsibilities:
Sets and achieves plant Product Supply Reliability (PSR) targets.
Creates Equipment Reliability Strategies based upon Top Opportunity List, Critical Equipment List, and identified plant/business needs.
Validates ERS implementation and closes gaps to improve/sustain reliability improvement.
Evaluates effectiveness of individual aspects of the Predictive Preventive Maintenance (PPM) program.
Optimizes PPM activities to support overall productivity improvements.
Identifies and resolves Top Reliability Opportunities and decreases equipment failure.
Develops and maintains a model that identifies the value of opportunities for improvement.
Uses reliability engineering principles and tools (Weibull, RCI, FMEA) to eliminate negative reliability trends and enhance equipment performance.
Participates in plant health study and implements corrective action to maintain or improve plant health.
Develops and implements the Facility Reliability Strategy.
Serves as Root Cause Investigation (RCI) Team Leader and coaches others in RCI facilitation.
Provides front end loading support for plant Turnarounds.
Facilitates the annual maintenance budget setting process.
Assists project teams to design reliability and maintainability into new plants and equipment systems.
Applies long term cost of ownership and reliability engineering principles in conjunction with the discipline teams and technical resource networks.
Provides equipment reliability and performance data to the technical resource networks.
Optimizes spare parts stockage levels in conjunction with the MRO function.
Develops and implements operating discipline that will improve reliability.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in reliability, engineering, mechanical or related field required.
Minimum 5 years of experience in the Petrochemical industry.
Knowledgeable in relevant work processes (e.g., Repair and Maintain, Continuous Improvement and Reliability Excellence).
Proficient in spoken and written English, with a TOEIC score of 600 or higher.
Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office applications.
Strong communication skills and a team player.
In-depth problem-solving ability and interpersonal skills.
Ambitious, self-motivated, well-organized and enthusiastic.
