The quality and integrity of our data give customers the confidence they need to make critical decisions, while our ESG database, covering over 10,000 companies, supports the transition to a more sustainable global economy.Our FTSE Russell business, a global provider of benchmarks, analytics and data solutions, produces indices against which more than $16 trillion of investments are benchmarked.Plus, our suite of Risk Solutions helps regulated businesses and corporate organisations conduct due diligence, meet KYC commitments, onboard customers and combat financial crime.OpportunityRequired Day to Day Responsibilities- Conduct media and Internet searches on companies and individuals in both Mandarin and English- To investigate official sources (registrars, regulators, courts, etc.) for information on companies and individuals- To analyse the collected information with a view to reputational, financial and integrity risk (sanctions, corruption, bribery, money laundering, terrorism financing, regulatory violations, etc.)- To prepare comprehensive reports in English and/or in Mandarin, which are:- in a standardized format - in accordance with our internal Research Methodology and Style Guide-- meeting client specific requirements-- delivered on time-- Liaise with third-party vendors (verification of provided information, placing them in a report)- Work optimally within teams or by yourself, be proactive to identify and resolve problems- Document policies, procedures and work processes- Adhere to current data policies and procedures- Backup other analysts in the team during their absenceRequired Skills (Must Have)- Native or full professional proficiency in Mandarin as role requires extensive reading in this language and may deal with Mandarin-speaking clients.- Strong research skills, including online search tools- Microsoft Office Skills - Outlook, Word, ExcelEducation- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree (preferably in international relations, political science, legal studies or business management)Successful applicants are expected to start around April/May 2023.
