R+ is a strategic design and research unit of GDP Architects. Where design, research, and identity intersect, R+ dissects — that is, all the time. Out of a background of cultural nuances and changing statistics, our practice foregrounds the relatable, the relevant, and the real. We bridge gaps with a discourse delivered by multiple means of dialogue: Events, Exhibitions, Publications. And to do it all while being sensitive and clear-cut? That's an R+ strategy.
R+ is seeking driven individuals who are experienced in strategically curating research and excel in critical thinking, management, and communication — to be part of a small design-based research team and fill in the role of aResearcher & Strategist . In this role, you will assist in coordinating, developing, and communicating research across multiple parties for the various clients and projects that R+ takes on.
Key ResponsibilitiesResearch & StrategyResearch, information interpretation, and ideation.
Design appropriate research strategies suitable to project needs.
Concept and framework development.
Content writing and research framing.
Work closely with the team to create project briefs, respond to client briefs, and develop design proposals and presentations.
Project ManagementLiaising with collaborators and clients effectively.
Coordinate timelines between multiple collaborators.
Monitor projects and communicate observations.
Maintain organised notes and process documentation within the team.
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and manage time well.
Excellent communication and presentation skills; must be able to create clearly structured presentations to articulate concepts and design approaches for clients.
QualificationsSkills and ExperienceMinimum 3 years of relevant experience & a degree holder.
Effective communicator, proactive executor.
Ability to organise and synthesise extensive information.
Ability to reason and rationalise critical thinking and methods with clarity.
Great technical skills and understanding of working processes and steps needed to complete tasks or achieve a goal.
Ability to be agile with attention to detail when working under pressure to (sometimes) tight timelines.
Flexible in effectively collaborating with team members to provide and receive support when needed.
A broad interest in finding creative ways to communicate and convey research.
Ability to contextualise research in writing creatively.
Experience in conceptualising, designing, and developing projects creatively across print and digital media.
Proficient in using a range of technical programmes such as Adobe Creative Suite and Google Suite.
