Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Reservoir Engineer with 10–15 years of relevant experience to join our team in Malaysia. The successful candidate will support critical reservoir engineering activities over the next two years, contributing to well intervention programs, reserves assessments, and project maturation efforts. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact projects within a dynamic team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Well Intervention Support (JDA '25-'26 Program):
Evaluate and review well intervention candidates.
Participate in subsurface-focused CHOC meetings to ensure robust technical discussions.
Track and report intervention program results, ensuring alignment with field development objectives.Reserves Booking Process:
Lead the quarterly and annual year-end reserves booking process for Hess/JDA reserves.
Ensure reserves assessments align with industry standards and corporate guidelines.Performance-Based Reserves Assessment:
Oversee the evaluation of NMB performance-based reserves assessments, taking over work previously managed by WRM.Phase 6 Project Maturation:
Provide reservoir engineering expertise to support the maturation of Phase 6 projects as needed.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to advance project deliverables.Gajah/Melati Evaluation Update (2H '25):
Deliver reservoir engineering support for the evaluation and update of Gajah and Melati fields in the second half of 2025.Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering, or a related discipline.
10–15 years of experience in reservoir engineering, with a strong background in field development, reserves evaluation, and production optimization.
Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Eclipse, Petrel RE) and reserves management tools.
Demonstrated experience in well intervention planning and execution.
Knowledge of reserves reporting standards (e.g., SPE-PRMS or SEC) and performance-based reserves assessments.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex reservoir data.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
Familiarity with offshore gas assets and Joint Development Area (JDA) operations is preferred.
