The Rigging Artist is responsible for designing and maintaining a smooth and efficient rig for CG assets. He or she must have a strong understanding of CG pipelines and production methods and a strong management style with excellent organizational and artistic skills.Key Responsibilities:Work with the Rigging Lead/Supervisor to establish a rig that fully supports an animation style.Work closely with Animators to develop rigs that will allow animators the full range of motion and acting that is called for by the story, as well as a logical and easy-to-use control structure.Work to create top quality body and facial rigs that meet the desired quality and style.Create and adjust rigging standards.Provide creative ideas and solutions on both visual and technical levels.Be able to flag and solve potential problems to stay on schedule.Organize work and prepare presentation elements for approval.Execute the corrections requested by the Supervisor and the Director by showing an analytic mind.Communicate and seek information if necessary.Constantly be learning and experimenting with new techniques.Be a key contributor to create an engaging animated film of top quality while managing and reducing the complexities of production.Required Skills:3+ years of industry (CG and/or VFX) or equivalent rigging experience.Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Computer Animation, or other relevant areas of study and/or equivalent job experience.Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of CG, pipeline, and associated software/plugins.Experience in a variety of Maya rigging techniques, and the ability to optimize the performance of rigs.Good communication skills and excellent team player.A creative problem-solver.Basic modeling skills and ability to understand polygonal mesh flow.Strong knowledge of character kinematics, deformation, and biomechanics.Experience rigging a variety of characters and props, including facial animation systems.Experience with Python and MEL is a plus.Knowledge of dynamics is a plus.Remark:This position will require the successful applicant to relocate and work on-site at our studio in Malaysia.Priority will be given to local (Malaysia) applicants.#J-18808-Ljbffr
