Role Description & Responsibilities
Your specific responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Lead and mentor a team of RTR accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional development and performance.
Manage the team's day-to-day activities related to GL accounting, including reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and internal controls.
Oversee the preparation and timely submission of financial data for monthly, quarterly, and annual closings for Asia Bus, ensuring compliance with both local and Group reporting requirements.
Ensure that all accounting records are accurate, complete, and in compliance with internal controls, company policies, IFRS, and statutory accounting principles.
Lead and support internal and external audits by coordinating the preparation of necessary documentation and addressing auditor queries.
Review and support the preparation of tax provisions, returns, and other relevant documents, whilst overseeing the accuracy and timeliness of tax compliance submissions for legal entities in the region.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Minimum of 9 years working experience in a general accounting role within MNC or Shared Service environment, with 1 to 2 years in a supervisory role.
Experienced in managing financial compliance (IFRS), statutory accounting principles, and managing end-to-end statutory audit including annual financial statements.
Strong process control mindset, highly self-motivated with strong analytical skills, a good foundation in accounting, attention to detail, and good communication skills.
Fluency in English and Chinese is essential. Knowledge of other languages (Japanese, Korean) gives candidates an added advantage.#J-18808-Ljbffr
