Description
Fixed Asset Accounting:
- Establish and maintain master data for asset accounting.
- Execute period-end processes and reporting for assets.
General Ledger:
- Timely execution of transactional activities, such as maintaining system rates in SAP.
- Perform park/post activities for journal entries.
- Reconcile accounts to the general ledger ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards; rectify errors as needed.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and FI billing activities.
- Perform intercompany reconciliations.
- Execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes according to schedule.
- Prepare analytical reports and accounting schedules.
Reporting:
- Prepare P&L accounts, conduct preliminary reviews, and analyze trends.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and account notes.
- Compile and consolidate financial reports at month-end, quarter-end, and year-end promptly.
- Assist Retained Finance in data extraction for audits (statutory, internal, IFRS).
Other Responsibilities:
- Adhere strictly to service levels, internal controls, and company policies.
- Identify and report repetitive issues or risks to supervisors and propose improvements.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and propose enhancements for increased efficiency.
- Resolve operational issues and escalate to supervisors when necessary.
- Perform any other assigned ad hoc tasks.
Profile
Job Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Commerce, Finance, Accounting).
- Experience: 0 - 2 years of professional experience; industry or shared services experience is advantageous.
- Skills Requirements:
- Strong team player with excellent collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel, is essential.
- Familiarity with SAP system usage, particularly in Asset and GL Modules, is beneficial.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
