In this position, you will create safety awareness and carry out safety meetings, fire drill exercises, safety induction, and safety training for existing and new employees.
You are also responsible for implementing and monitoring aspects of the Safety Management System activities in the workplace that meet high-quality standards.
You must have strong organizational and communication skills to manage and direct development plans to support the achievement of Irkaz Builder's strategic goals.
CURRENT PROPOSED DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee and report on safety, health, and environmental (SHE) aspects at construction sites.
Implement all procedures and practices as stipulated in the company's policy and project requirements.
Conduct safety induction for workers and ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
Prepare comprehensive SHE reports and correspondence for internal and external use.
Maintain accurate records of safety-related activities, inspections, and incidents.
Liaise with DOSH, Police, and other relevant government agencies regarding health, safety, and security matters affecting workers.
Ensure compliance with statutory regulations and conduct regular safety audits.
Inspect the workplace to identify and rectify unsafe conditions promptly.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective measures.
Report incidents to the Project Manager with recommended actions for prevention.
Develop and conduct training programs on safety measures.
Collaborate with training specialists to enhance safety-related skills among workers.
Regularly review emergency response plans and coordinate emergency response drills.
Conduct risk assessments for new and existing processes to identify hazards.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.
Monitor and enforce the use of appropriate PPE.
Integrate environmental health and safety practices into overall safety management to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and guidelines.
Facilitate regular safety meetings to communicate updates and address concerns.
Initiate safety awareness campaigns to promote a positive safety culture.
Receive and act on reports regarding safety concerns from workers within the construction site/workplace.
Conduct safety assessments and ensure that contractors comply with safety regulations.
Identify opportunities and implement measures to enhance overall safety performance.
Report promptly to the Project Manager on any safety and health issues.
Support any other related tasks assigned by Project Manager, Client, and Management.
REQUIREMENTS
Registered with DOSH and Green Book holder.
Minimum Diploma or Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or related field.
Experience in implementing safety procedures, conducting risk assessments, and managing safety programs.
Thorough understanding of Malaysian safety regulations, including OSHA 1994 and DOSH guidelines.
Good health and physical stamina required for inspections, climbing, and physical tasks.#J-18808-Ljbffr
