Safety Assistant

Job Responsibilities:
Assist in the continual improvement of Health Safety and Environmental Management Program and related materials.
Maintain safety databases for the Company.
Build and maintain our job site binders required health and safety documents.
Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of occupational health and safety programs.
Ensure that a training program is in place for all staff and covers all applicable legislation.
Design and maintain systems for internal reporting of compliance with safety rules.
Provide administrative support to the Health Safety Supervisor.
Advise on various health, safety, and environment-related topics such as noise levels and use of machinery.
Update, prepare, produce, and distribute various departmental reports.
Maintain training calendar and book training as required.
Maintain safety talks and workplace inspection and training records.
