About the Job We are looking for a Safety Executive to join our esteemed client in the glove & healthcare manufacturing industry.
The Safety Executive will play a crucial role in supporting the manufacturing business, ensuring full compliance with local Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) laws, regulations, and company standards.
This position involves planning and managing comprehensive safety programs at the manufacturing site.
The ideal candidate should have a stable employment history specifically within the glove manufacturing industry, possess a background in engineering or a related field and maintain an appropriate BMI.
Job Responsibilities Support Manufacturing Business : Align with Site, Supply Chain, and overall business SHE (Safety, Health, and Environment) ambition and direction.
Compliance Management : Ensure full compliance with local SHE laws, regulation and company standards.
Initiative Management: Drive initiatives on Safety, Energy, Water Conservation, Waste Management, Employee Health, and Environmental risks and continuous improvement.
Safety Programs : Plan, implement, manage, and maintain comprehensive safety & health programs at the manufacturing site.
Meetings and Inspections : Conduct regular safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective actions, and follow-up assessments.
Training Programs: Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety compliance training programs for all involved parties.
Guidance on SHE Matters : Provide project management team with guidance on safety & health and ensure project site compliance with industry, local, state, and federal guidelines and regulations.
Technical Support : Provide technical support on safety and health matters to the project management team and manufacturing team.
Contractor Management Plan: Collaborate with management to develop a Contractor Management Plan including Emergency Action Plan, Permit to Work, and serve as the primary contact for project site injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management.
Process Integration: Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, HQ Manufacturing to integrate safety & health requirements into the overall process from tendering, award of project, and contractor performance evaluation.
Compliance Assurance: Ensure all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals, internal policies and procedures, contract documents, and good safety & health practices.
Reporting Noncompliance : Report and highlight major noncompliance issues for accident prevention to Management.
Safety Recommendations: Propose recommendations for any safety & health compliance issues identified during construction sites to Management.
Authority Liaison : Liaise with relevant authorities (DOSH, CIDB, BOMBA, local municipal council, etc.)
and ensure timely submission of required reports to close off any issues raised.
Qualifications & Experiences Needed Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, or Master's Degree in Safety and Health, Engineering (Chemical, Environmental), or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years of work experience in process safety management in a manufacturing environment.
Registered Safety & Health Officer (Green Book) with DOSH (must have).
Good knowledge and experience in liaising with relevant authorities including DOSH, CIDB, BOMBA, local municipal council, etc.
Good command of English & Malay (spoken and written).
Good knowledge of process safety and personal safety.
Results-oriented, strong follow-up, and good negotiation skills with proven track records.
Strong leadership attributes – authenticity, collaboration, performance, able to lead a shift team.
