Safety & Health Officer

Responsible for ensuring a safe, secure and healthy working environment for all employees, vendors and visitors.Development, implementation, evaluation and conduct training to employees regarding plant safety and health.Ensure the organization is compliance with local, state and federal standards, applicable laws, accepted practices and regulations on safety and health. Act as Emergency Management.Auditing and assessing the effectiveness of safety and environmental management system.To conduct training on safety and health regulation and aspects such as firefighting skills and knowledge, chemical emergency response, new intake safety induction training.Liaise closely with authority board Government, DOSH, DOE, Bomba and PERKESO.To advice the management team regarding safety and health regulations from time to time.To investigate any accident, near-miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning or occupational disease which has occurred in the plant.To lead the Safety and Health Committee / Emergency Response Team (ERT).To assist any officer in carrying out this duty under the Act or any regulations under the Act.Appointed as chemical coordinator/handler to coordinate the handling and management of chemicals.Outlining Health and Safety procedure (per OSHA)Interfacing with DOSH/JKKP to ensure employees and factory compliance with health and safety codesIn charge of Schedule Waste Management.Managing stocks of safety supplies and equipment (PPE).Assist in any tasks as instructed by your superior and/or management of AESB from time to time.
