This is a full-time position that will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees.
What you'll be doing
Implementing and maintaining safety policies and procedures to promote a culture of safety within the organisation
Conducting regular risk assessments and implementing appropriate control measures to mitigate risks
Providing safety training and education to employees to enhance their knowledge and awareness of health and safety practices
Investigating and reporting on incidents, accidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
Collaborating with management and employees to identify and address safety concerns
Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations like DOSH, DOE, Bomba and industry standards
Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to safety activities
What we're looking for
Relevant tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field
Minimum 1 years of experience in a similar safety coordinator or health and safety officer role, preferably within the manufacturing industry
Thorough understanding of health and safety regulations, industry best practices and risk management principles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with employees at all levels
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities to identify and address safety issues
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with safety management software
Proactive and detail-oriented approach to maintaining accurate records and documentation
