Safety Officer (Compulsory Greenbook)

Responsibilities:
Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with workplace safety standards.
Identify, document, and address unsafe conditions or behaviors promptly.
Promote a culture of safety and monitor employee compliance.
Maintain detailed records of safety audits as per JKKP requirements.
Provide first aid and handle medical emergencies effectively.
Safety Program Management:
Organize and deliver safety inductions and refresher courses.
Conduct monthly safety briefings and maintain attendance records.
Plan and execute safety training in collaboration with external trainers.
Implement incentive programs such as safety awards and enforce disciplinary measures for violations.
Update notice boards as needed.
Update the ERT organization chart and evacuation plans.
Plan and execute fire drills to test emergency preparedness.
Fire Safety Management:
Inspect and maintain firefighting equipment to ensure readiness and validity.
Arrange for the renewal and replacement of equipment as needed.
Permit to Work (PTW) System:
Oversee the PTW process for contractors entering the site.
Conduct safety briefings for first-time contractors.
Regularly review and improve the PTW system for effectiveness.
Environmental, Security, Safety and Health Committee (EHSSC):
Schedule and conduct EHSSC meetings regularly.
Prepare and circulate meeting agendas, and maintain minutes.
Update EHSSC organization charts and appoint new committee members as needed.
MACHINERY MANAGEMENT:
Schedule and monitor machinery maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.
Record and report machinery conditions regularly.
Ensure all machinery complies with certification and operational permits (for vendors).
Coordinate inspections and renewals with JKKP.
Coordinate with the vendor (Akki Eng) for crane repairs.
REPORTING & COMPLIANCE:
Maintain communication with JKKP, JAS, BOMBA, and KKM for compliance matters.
Update MyKKP and ensure timely submission of annual reports.
Update JKKP 5 as needed.
Ensure preparedness for audits and regulatory reviews.
Investigate and document all workplace incidents using JKKP 6/JKKP 7 forms.
Prepare monthly LTI (Lost Time Injury) reports and submit JKKP 8 forms annually.
Analyze incident trends and implement preventive measures.
Maintain comprehensive records and summaries of incidents.
Prepare monthly EHS activity reports and maintain inspection checklists.
Revise and enhance checklists to improve monitoring systems.
Develop and track EHS budgets for operational requirements.
Update legal compliance and the legal register as needed.
Update inventory of instruments under EHS control.
Review and update HIRARC (Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control) annually or as conditions change.
Review and revise environmental impact assessments.
Update and revise the Chemical Register.
ADMINISTRATION & OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete customer surveys and assessments as required.
Ensure compliance with the Responsible Business Alliance (RBA) Code of Conduct and CDP assessment.
Arrange annual audiometry tests.
Renew NaOH permits annually.
Liaise with contractors for roof repairs.
Monitor and ensure completion of major housekeeping tasks by the production department.
Supervise and ensure timely sludge cleaning at the Bonderizing area.
Update and monitor the SDS validity checklist (Liaise to Ch'ng).
Attend audits for ISO and IATF and prepare relevant documentation and systems.
Update MRM for industrial accident.
Liaise with contractor (SK Gas) for service and repair LPG bulk tank.
Record and report keeping.
