About the roleAs a Safety Officer at JOB ELITE TT AGENCY, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our team members at our construction site in Pengerang, Johor.
This full-time position is responsible for implementing and monitoring safety protocols, managing safety training, and fostering a strong safety culture across the organisation.
What you'll be doing
Conducting regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards
Developing and implementing safety policies, procedures and training programs
Providing safety orientations and training to all site personnel
Investigating incidents and accidents, and taking corrective actions to prevent recurrence
Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to safety activities
Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations
Promoting a positive safety culture and encouraging safe work practices among all employees
What we're looking for
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Safety Officer or in a similar role within the construction industry
Strong knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) regulations and best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels
Proficient in conducting safety audits, risk assessments and incident investigations
Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
Proactive and detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment
