The Assistant Sales Manager is responsible for driving, maintaining, and expanding relationships with retail customers within assigned territories. You will build and nurture strong business partnerships with retail clients, ensuring the profitability of key accounts through effective 4P (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) execution of all our brands in retail outlets. Your role is critical in achieving strategic business objectives by ensuring optimal sales performance.
With a deep understanding of the market and key account dynamics, you will identify growth opportunities, deliver outstanding sales execution, and develop initiatives to drive incremental sales. This will involve close collaboration with retail customers and our marketing team to create and implement effective sales strategies for your assigned accounts.
-Meet or exceed the assigned sales targets and all other key strategic objectives of assigned key accounts/region.
-Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned key accounts/region.
-Ensure all our brands 4Ps fundamentals are better than competition in the stores by working closely with merchandisers to ensure they are productively delivering every day great execution for our products.
-Proactively leads operational planning process and joint business review that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and critical milestones associated with a productive retail-supplier partnership.
-Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates retailers and shopper needs on an ongoing basis and leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company and partner personnel.
-Ensure discipline and timely completion of all related administrative paperwork (i.e trade promo spend, AR collections etc) as required by all our operations SOPs.
-Prepare monthly reports – competitor's activities, sales performance report by chain, trade spend monitoring up to date and review trade spend to maximize ROI.

-Customer collaboration and Join Business Plan with retailer – To build sales growth and manage all promotion campaigns effectively, delivering value to the business.

-Support superior in managing day to day sales planning, monitoring and operating.
-Responsible for the yearly sales processes and strategic development planning with partners.

-Minimum SPM/Diploma/Degree
-Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Sales Planning or Account management planning and operation preferably the FMCG industry.
-With FMCG sales experience in General Trade or Key Account (e.g., Hypermarket, Baby Shop, Ecommerce) is highly preferred and will be valuabled in bring solid change and drive for business.
-Proven success in sales, with strong expertise in sales planning and 4P store execution within the FMCG sector.
-Strong analytical abilities with a fact-based approach to decision-making.
-Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently.
-Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
-Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
-Proficient in both written and verbal English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.
