Jobholder is responsible to secure orders for irrigation department's products such as irrigation systems, pumps, aerators, etc., with special emphasis on the agriculture sector and secondary other relevant non-golf segments such as Hotels & Leisure, Parks & Stadiums, Municipalities, and Green Buildings. The job holder is responsible for achieving the sales and income targets by identifying their own sales pipeline and qualifying opportunities for the assigned products.
ResponsibilitiesInitiate, promote and develop sales opportunities for the assigned products and segments to achieve the desired growth in business volume reflected in the Company's sales and income budget.
Prepare sales plans and secure orders for the Company's products, solutions, and services, and achieve the sales and income targets as assigned.
Identify and establish new customers as well as new business opportunities to ensure successful market penetration.
Plan and conduct technical seminars or solutions/product demonstrations to prospective customers in a professional and high-quality manner.
Conduct regular visits to customers; establish healthy customer relations and cement strong relationships that support long-term sales objectives. Undertake consciousness and receptiveness to their needs, market trends, and new products launched by competitors. Provide prompt updates to the Sales Manager and General Manager to initiate counter strategies.
Prepare product and/or project costing and work out quotations for customers.
Attend to customers' complaints and inquiries with professionalism and integrity.
Submit periodic sales reports and activities plans with the most updated order closing dates to the Sales Manager, copied to the General Manager. Also, report problems encountered on a regular basis. Some of these will be via the CRM system of C4C.
Attend all necessary project site meetings when required to ensure smooth hand-over.
Build good rapport and enhance mutual relationships with the principal through regular feedback, local market knowledge, and market needs.
Update accurate and complete data and information into SAP and CRM (C4C) for opportunities management.
Responsible for following up on all sales made by monitoring and ensuring all collections are within credit terms granted by the Company.
Act responsibly at all times to comply with the Group's and Company's Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Required QualificationsEducational Background: Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
Sales: At least 3 years of experience in a sales position, preferably in the agricultural or engineering sectors.
Irrigation Knowledge: Familiarity with irrigation systems is an added advantage.
Project Management: Experience in managing projects, especially in agriculture or engineering, is a plus.
Skills:
Strong independent work ethic and the ability to handle tasks with minimal supervision.
Excellent problem-solving skills to address challenges effectively.
