SUMMARY OF THE ROLEThe Sales Manager - Shipping is responsible to manage and lead the assigned segment (M&P - Shipping) sales team in a given country by utilizing Jotun's sales tools and techniques to plan, execute and monitor sales objectives and collection to achieve sales budgets, improve customer relationships, profitability, and increased market share.This position will report to Senior Sales Manager and based at Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia.**Responsibilities**:- Manage and lead the Sales team by ensuring all team members are well-trained and motivated to achieve budgeted sales targets.- Ensure that projects and Key Accounts are managed and followed up to achieve customer expectations and sales targets.- Develop and implement proper distribution strategies and programs by setting targets, selection criteria, and performance measures for subordinates to build and maintain a strong, effective, and reliable distribution network.- Close monitoring and following up on the implementation of agreed action plans to ensure that the overall performance coatings objectives will be met.- Develop and implement standard procedures, processing, and reporting to ensure best practices are implemented through the retail and project teams.- Organise, develop, motivate, and lead sales teams by setting clear targets and framework, coaching, supporting, and following-up team members in line with The Penguin Spirit to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the whole team.- Conduct periodic performance reviews and feedback sessions with employees as required (KIT and yPOD).WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR AND WHAT WE OFFER**Qualifications**:- Minimum Bachelor's degree with 4 to 6 years of relevant experience- Proficient with Microsoft Office- Excellent English skills both spoken and writtenPersonal Qualities- Acts on own initiative; makes things happen and accepts responsibility for the results- Analysis & Judgment; quickly understands and analyzes complex issues and problems; comes up with sound and rational judgments- Business Development; identifies and seizes commercial opportunities; has a strong positive impact on business growth and profitability- Networking; builds a useful network of contacts and relationships and utilizes it to achieve objectives- People Management; provides team with a clear sense of direction, inspires and coordinates others and keeps them focused on objectives- Steadiness; creates a stable and re-assuring work atmosphere; supports and encourages team in difficult times; is firm and reliableWe Offer- We are a fast-growing paint company with proven financial success.- Career development encompassing on-the-job experiences and Jotun Academy, our in-house development academy.- Best-in-class paint product that are unparalleled in quality.- We are a values-driven organization where Respect, Loyalty, Care and Boldness are core to the culture and success of our organization.POSITION INFORMATIONCompany:Jotun Paints (Malaysia) Sdn.
