Purpose of the position: This position is responsible for managing the logistics and distribution of industrial gases product to ensure timely and efficient delivery to our customers. Scheduler requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders to optimize the distribution network. This person is expected to drive continuous improvement and cost optimization in project, work processes and organization structure to meet business requirement and profitability.
Principle responsibilities: Develop and implement distribution plans to meet customer demand while optimizing costs and resources.Coordinate with production, sales, and logistics / transporter teams to forecast demand and manage inventory levels.Analyze transportation routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries and minimize costs.Monitor and evaluate distribution performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.Maintain relationships with third-party logistics providers / transporter to ensure service quality.Utilize data analysis and software tools to support decision-making and enhance distribution efficiency.Collaborate with the safety and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards.Prepare reports and presentations for management on distribution performance and strategic initiatives.Support the continuous improvement of processes related to supply chain and distribution operations.Assist and support sales activities e.g. process customer orders, response to customer query timely and coordinate with production to resolve order discrepancies. Key Interface: Customer – inventory level & timely deliveryDriver / Transporter – driver management, delivery arrangement & timely updateSales / Sales Support – commercial support, customer inquiry & delivery scheduleCES – technical & maintenance supportProduction – coordinate inventory & production planning Requirements: Education - Possesses bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistic, business administration, engineering, or equivalent.Working experience - Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Distribution Management in industrial gases industry or similar environment.Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekend and public holidays, as and when business required.Knowledge & Skill - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.Proficiency in supply chain management software and MS Office.Experience/ knowledge of industrial gases will be an added advantage.Strong communications and interpersonal skill to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (effective presentations and negotiation).Proactive, ability to multitask and can-do mindset.Demonstrate ability to learn quickly and openness to learning.Language skills – English, Bahasa Malaysia. The ability to converse in Mandarin is an added advantage.Possesses SAP knowledge & skill will be an added advantage.Able to handle confidential information.Dynamic, independent, and a team player with excellent communication skills.Must be well-organized person, good time management, execution ability and attentive to details.
