Database Development & Administration (Information & Communication Technology)
We are seeking a skilled and motivated School Data Administrator to join our team, where you will play an important role in overseeing our data processes and ensuring the integrity and accessibility of our data resources. As the Data Administrator, you will be responsible for implementing data strategies, managing the data calendar, and optimising data collection. You will work closely with the school management and other key teams to identify data needs and develop efficient solutions for data storage, retrieval, and reporting.
A successful candidate will have a strong analytical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage the school's management system. Your work will ensure operational efficiency by ensuring that data is accurate, reliable, and available to those who need it. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the collection, storage, and retrieval of student level data within the school.
Ensure compliance with data policies and data security regulations.
Develop and maintain data management strategies and frameworks to enhance data quality and integrity.
Create a data plan for the academic year.
Collaborate with the school management and post holders to identify data needs and implement solutions.
Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights and support data-driven decision-making.
Monitor and improve data management processes and systems for efficiency.
Support staff with data management best practices and tools.
Work with the Senior Leadership to schedule the school's curriculum timetable.
Work with the examination officer to maintain the students' examination results.
Generate school based reports as part of the school's reporting system as per the calendar.
Use the school's management system to ensure student level data can be used to track both pastoral and academic progress.
Use staff timetables to provide daily internal cover.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in ICT, data management or a related field.
Experience in data management or a similar role.
Knowledge of database management systems and data principles.
Proficient with the use of Google Suite.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS
Experience working with a school data management system.
