JOB DESCRIPTION:You will be part of our Process + Systems Team to add your expertise + skills to the delivery of operational + systems excellence.
Your Role:You will be responsible for executing the application support function including all the related activities of systems support, root cause analysis, maintenance, testing + cooperation with key stakeholders for application development.
Your Responsibilities:To enable system excellence through high adherence to design processes + proper system utilization through system reports or process audits in collaboration with the process excellence function.
To implement + support the usage of the entire system landscape through efficient + optimal system configurations achieving operational excellence.
To ensure high levels of data quality via analysis, review + action planning together with stakeholders.
To monitor internal support queues ensuring timely responses to all requests.
To identify re-occurring issues, provide systematic solutions or identify training needs + coordinate with respective trainers.
To conduct system testing with operations + document results as per regional standards.
To carry out applications development such as requirement gathering, software solution design, testing + supporting.
To support + coordinate near shoring activities to the shared service centers.
Your Skills and Experiences:A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field is required.
Prior experience in logistics, particularly sea logistics, is essential. Experience with requirement engineering and systems support is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of requirement engineering principles and methodologies.
Knowledge of sea logistics processes, including import/export regulations, container shipping, freight forwarding, and customs clearance.
Ability to troubleshoot and provide technical support for logistics systems, including diagnosing and resolving issues related to software, hardware, and network connectivity.
Familiarity with database management and data analysis tools for extracting insights and improving processes.
Analytical Skills:The ability to analyze complex logistics processes and systems to identify areas for improvement and optimization, involving data gathering, interpreting, conducting root cause analysis, and developing solutions.
Communication Skills:Effective communication is essential for collaborating with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders. This includes conveying technical information clearly, documenting requirements and procedures, and providing training and support to end-users.
Problem-Solving Abilities:The capability to quickly identify and address issues with logistics systems, whether they involve software bugs, process inefficiencies, or external disruptions.
Attention to Detail:Given the complexities of sea logistics operations, meticulous attention to detail is crucial, ensuring accuracy in data entry, documentation, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
