This role is responsible for leading and coordinating the introduction of new products in the manufacturing process.
This person is crucial in bridging product development and manufacturing, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition from design to production.
The section head will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, engineering, quality, and production, to ensure that new products meet customer requirements, quality standards, and time-to-market goals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
New Product Introduction (NPI) Project ManagementLead and manage NPI projects from initial concept through to mass production, ensuring all deliverables are met within schedule and budget.
Develop and implement NPI processes, defining clear milestones, timelines, and resources required to meet project goals.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (design, engineering, quality, production) to ensure seamless integration of new products into the manufacturing process.Process IntegrationCollaborate with the engineering team to develop and refine manufacturing processes for new products, optimizing for cost, quality, and efficiency.
Conduct design for manufacturability (DFM) reviews, identifying potential production issues and proposing solutions to enhance product quality and process reliability.Quality Assurance and ComplianceWork closely with the quality team to establish product quality requirements and testing protocols for new products.
Ensure compliance with industry standards (IPC, ISO) and customer-specific requirements throughout the NPI process.
Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives based on testing, feedback, and product performance data.
Act as the primary point of contact for customers regarding new product requirements, specifications, and timelines.
Conduct technical reviews and communicate project status updates to customers, addressing any concerns and aligning expectations.Systematic ImplementationOversee the creation and maintenance of documentation for NPI projects, including process flow charts, work instructions, and technical specifications.
Ensure accurate and complete records of all NPI processes, ensuring knowledge transfer and supporting future product launches.Team Leadership and DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technicians involved in the NPI process, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Provide technical guidance and support to the NPI team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and project goals.
Conduct performance reviews and identify training opportunities to enhance team capabilities in NPI and PCB manufacturing.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
On-time delivery of NPI projects from design to mass production.
Achievement of target quality levels for new products with minimal defects.

REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electronics, Manufacturing, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in the PCB industry, with at least 3 years in an NPI or Process Engineering leadership role.
Deep understanding of PCB manufacturing processes, materials, and industry standards.
Experience in project management, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across departments and with external customers.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies is a plus.#J-18808-Ljbffr
