Position Overview: We are in search of a detail-oriented and proactive Data Security Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a Data Security Analyst, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our organization's data assets and ensuring compliance with regulations. Key Responsibilities: Data Security Architectures: Design and implement security architectures for databases, data warehouses, and other data storage systems.Integrated Security Measures: Ensure security measures are integrated into the overall data architecture.Encryption Mechanisms: Implement encryption for data at rest, in transit, and during processing to protect sensitive information. Select and configure appropriate encryption algorithms and key management systems.Monitoring and Incident Response: Monitor data access logs and security alerts to detect and respond to potential security incidents promptly. Develop and implement incident response plans for data breaches or unauthorized access.Risk Assessment: Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in data systems and evaluate the potential impact of security threats.User Access Management: Manage user access to data systems by configuring and maintaining access controls, permissions, and user roles.Security Audits: Conduct regular security audits to assess the effectiveness of data security measures and identify areas for improvement.Collaboration: Work closely with IT administrators, network security teams, and other relevant teams to integrate data security measures into the broader IT infrastructure.Requirements: A bachelor's degree in information technology, cybersecurity, computer science, or a related field is required.Relevant work experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related field is an advantage.Proficiency in using security tools and technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, and encryption tools.Knowledge of database security, network security, and operating system security.Strong analytical skills to assess security risks, analyze security incidents, and develop effective solutions.Effective communication skills to articulate security issues, policies, and procedures to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to identify and solve complex security problems, often under pressure.Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI DSS.A keen attention to detail is crucial in identifying and addressing security vulnerabilities and incidents.Ability to work collaboratively with IT teams, management, and other stakeholders to implement and maintain security measures.If you are a driven Data Security Analyst who thrives in a dynamic environment and is dedicated to fortifying data protection measures, we want to hear from you!
