Responsible for the company's production safety, fire protection, road safety, internal security, and supervision of the company security problems rectification.
Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment (CCTV); inspecting buildings, equipment and access points; permitting entry.
Protect the company's assets relative to theft, assault, fire and other safety issues.
Hiring and termination of guards.
Provide trainings to guard.
Prepare and carry out regular training programs for staff and guests on Security, Fire and Evacuation and general safety.
Responsible for briefing and training new employees on the knowledge of safety and organizing the inspection of firefighting systems and fire exercise activities (ERT).
To promote and advise a positive culture towards Security, Safety and Health.
To establish and review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all operations needs and requirements for Contractor, Evacuation, First Aid, and other related procedures according to the new guidelines set by JKKP and new requirement by ISO 45001.
To liaise with Quality & Sustainability Department with regards to upholding and developing ISO 45001 Certification.
To conduct safety committee meetings.
To be in charge of all the DOSH visits, inspections and other DOSH related matters.
To work closely with the local statutory bodies (DOSH, NIOSH, BOMBA & etc.) to ensure compliance of the plant and machinery with government regulations and requirements.
To coordinate the renewal of JKKP inspection of factory & machineries – e.g. gantry crane & compressors with maintenance and facilities department.
To monitor workplace to ensure that machinery, facilities and practices are safe.
To participate in Health and Safety reviews of new plant and machinery (HIRADC).
To conduct investigation of any accident, near accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning / disease at workplace. Reporting of accidents and yearly reporting to DOSH.
To ensure that firefighting facilities are in good working condition. Annual testing of fire hydrants and hoses.
To collect, analyze and report statistics on accidents and near accidents to Management and Safety Committee.
To hold the post of Secretary of the Safety Committee.
To monitor and develop the ERT Team.
To undertake any other duties that may be assigned by Management from time to time.
Responsible for all activities related to Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Energy.
Carry out duties in accordance with Quality, Health, Safety, Environment and Energy Policy, Procedure and SOP.
Requirements:
Professional in OSHA 1994 & Regulations with Green Book (will be prioritized).
Proven experience as a safety officer with at least 5 years of working experience in Safety, Health and Security.
In-depth knowledge of legislation and procedures.
Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices.
Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety.
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's degree / Post Graduate Diploma/ Professional Degree in any field.
