You will be responsible for creating high-quality animations, rigging character models, and ensuring that animations are smooth and realistic.
You will work closely with our art and design teams to ensure that animations align with the overall vision of our projects.
What You Can Expect To Work On Designing simple and intuitive control mechanisms; Transferring blendshapes for characters; Animating humanoid characters, creatures, props, vehicles, weapons, objects, etc; Developing animation composites; Amending animations as per instruction from designers and developers; Staying on top of new tools and methods for rigging on animated projects; Researching visual style, genre and technologies to produce each individual project; Collaborating with modellers and other artists and attending meetings with managers and directors to discuss ongoing projects; Following design guidelines and feedback, asset naming conventions and other technical constraints.
Requirements What You Need to Succeed Proven experience as an animator in the gaming industry with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
Proficiency in animation software such as Maya, Blender, or 3ds Max.
Experience with game engines like Unreal Engine.
Strong artistic skills with an eye for detail, movement, and timing.
Ability to identify and resolve technical and artistic issues independently.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
Previous experience with character rigging for diverse types of games (e.g., realistic, stylized).
Nice to haves: Nice to have: Rigging experience for characters and props; Nice to have: Using Motion Capture Data as inputs to produce high quality animations and applying motion capture to animation.
