Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage the accounting system, oversee the financial activities of multiple entities, and lead a small team. The successful candidate will handle the full set of accounts and ensure timely monthly closings, while liaising with auditors and tax agents to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities: Handle and manage the accounting system backlog, ensuring all outstanding transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled.Oversee and monitor accounts for related entities, ensuring all financial activities are tracked correctly and reported in a timely manner.Manage the monthly closing process for all accounts, including the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow reports.Lead and mentor a team of two junior executives, providing guidance on daily tasks, ensuring accuracy, and fostering professional growth.Maintain a full set of accounts, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and ensuring that all financial transactions are properly documented.Ensure compliance with the company's financial procedures, laws, and regulations by maintaining accurate financial records and statements.Liaise with auditors during audits to ensure accurate and timely completion of financial audits. Prepare necessary documentation and respond to audit queries.Collaborate with tax agents to ensure all tax-related matters, including filing, reporting, and compliance with statutory requirements, are managed effectively.Assist in the development and improvement of financial controls and procedures to streamline processes and improve the overall efficiency of the accounting department.Provide management with financial analysis and insights to support business decisions and long-term financial planning.Coordinate with other departments to ensure financial compliance and help resolve any accounting discrepancies.Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional qualifications (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) are a plus.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a proven track record of handling a full set of accounts.Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.Experience with supervising junior team members.Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Autocount) and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
