Job Description for Senior Accounts ExecutiveResponsibilities:
Financial Record-keeping: Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts receivables, accounts payables, intercompany transactions.
Month-End and Year-End closing: Assist in the preparation and managing of month-end and year-end closing activities, including reconciliations, prepayments and accruals, intercompany accounting and adjustments.
Related Company Accounts: Prepare monthly management reports, and other financial reports/detailed accounts analysis on ad-hoc basis.
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Generate and analyse financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement) to provide accurate and timely financial information to management.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with relevant departments to prepare and monitor budgets, as well as provide insights for future financial planning.
Audit and Tax Support: Assist in coordinating and providing documentation for internal and external audits and tax filings.
Departmental P&L Analysis: Prepare departmental P&L and analyse performance trends that can help determine if specific actions or adjustments are necessary for the department.
Vendor and Customer Relations: Maintain effective communication with vendors and customers regarding payment terms, invoicing and account reconciliation.
Stakeholder Management: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, tax consultant, company secretary, department heads and local management to ensure smooth financial operations.
Internal Controls: Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Process Improvement: Continuously assess and streamline financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Compliance: Stay updated on financial regulations and standards in Malaysia, ensuring all financial activities in compliance with rules and regulations.
Handle ad-hoc assignments as required by the superior and management from time to time.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
A professional qualification (e.g.
: ACCA/CIMA/MIA) or equivalent is a plus.
Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in the related field.
Able to work independently, self-motivated, possess analytical skills and able to adapt to change.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, such as MFRS and IFRS.
Prior experience in audits and financial reporting is advantageous.
Experience with financial software systems, such as Syspro or ERP, preferred.
Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia.
Possess own transport.
Willing to relocate to Glenmarie, Shah Alam in 2025 (currently in Seksyen 26 Shah Alam).
