The RoleThis position involves investigation, evaluation and management of property insurance claims. The role will require the post holder to provide an efficient and high-quality property and casualty claims handling service for various insurers. The role will be providing direct support to policy holders whilst reporting to their Insurers in respect to the claim investigation findings.
Key ResponsibilitiesTo perform a loss adjusting function in respect of new claims and those already handled in the offices which have been delegated by Senior Adjusters / Adjusters. This will involve, but not be limited to: - Receiving and acknowledging new claims instructions Managing and coordinating claims in a timely, professional manner, and comply with insurers' service KPI / compliance Assisting with status updates and report uploads on claim systems Assisting with preparation and uploading of adjusting reports within the stipulated turnaround time as set out by insurers; Assisting in providing instruction to surveyors, lawyers, forensic scientists, and other experts as necessary Assisting with site visits and meeting with Insurers, Brokers, Agents, Claimants, Insureds and other interested parties Assisting with preparation of preliminary reports commenting in detail on all aspects of claim including policy liability / considerations, potential loss / quantum and future actions Assisting with calculations and reconciliations in the settlement of claims, and preparation of accurate final reports Assisting with preparation of monthly claims bordereau, updating in detail on the status of the outstanding claims as well as meeting with the local insurers for outstanding claim discussion as required by local insurers at branch level. Adhoc Duties: As requested by your Line Manager or relevant Director, to perform reasonable ad hoc duties within the Job Holder's capabilities. Required SkillsSignificant Property and Casualty Loss Adjusting experience, with some tenure spent in a senior adjuster or manager / junior manager position.Enthusiasm for developing, coaching and mentoring lesser experienced Adjusters within the organisation.Continued commitment towards self-development and furthering technical expertise and knowledge.Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Excellent problem solving and claims management skills at a senior level.Willing to undertake further professional study for adjusting certification if not already attained.Able to travel as required and possess own transport.
