SCJ APAC logistics has embarked upon a long-term strategic project to optimize its distribution network and manage the transition of DCs wherever required. APAC logistics started the Genesis team in 2018 to optimize the supply chain process and implement strategic initiatives through network studies. The team plays a leading role from ideation, evaluation, approval, and transition stage for both warehousing and transportation. Genesis has expanded its role to drive technology adoption in APAC Logistics by evaluating upcoming applications to support higher visibility of operations and increase automation in data analysis.The role will have the entire APAC region in scope.
Responsibilities:Be part of the Genesis team for SCJ APAC Logistics strategic initiatives evaluation and implementation.
Accountable for the completion of any RFQ (Request for Quotation) process, working alongside the Logistics Procurement & Logistics Finance team – creating RFQ package, analyzing vendor proposals, and providing technical and financial comparisons for business to make informed decisions. NEGOTIATION NOT IN SCOPE.
Lead any Warehouse or Transportation transition projects using the SCJ transition framework.
Conduct network optimization studies in the region, working with either internal or external SCJ partners.
Evaluate new tools/software in accordance with the digitization agenda of the company.
Lead any ad-hoc analysis of operational data and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Work with the Lean Logistics team to maintain and upgrade operational data for Logistics.
Develop team capability in Logistics, especially in analytical thinking and project management.
Requirements:Bachelor's degree in engineering.
5 years of work experience in Logistics or Supply Chain, preferably in FMCG/Consulting industry, dealing with optimization/automation projects.
Excellent analytical & problem-solving skills – a must-have.
Advanced MS Excel knowledge, preferably working knowledge of macros and VBA programming.
Prior experience in network modeling tools, LEAN, or process improvement is preferable.
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects running simultaneously.
Good communication and project management skills.
Advanced knowledge of Power Apps, Power BI, and other automation tools will be strongly encouraged.
