Senior Analyst, Sustainability

Objective:
Responsible to assist in developing and overseeing environmental, social, and corporate governance policies and procedures, as well as reviewing and appraising proposed transactions to be socially and environmentally sustainable and comply with safeguarding policies and internationally recognized best practices.
The Job:
Formulate recommendations and requirements for action and incorporate these into applicable internal and related documentation to facilitate proper corporate governance.
The role is responsible for monitoring the environmental, social, and governance performance.
Provide technical expertise on key issues related to environmental and social impact assessment and on sustainability risks in the design, preparation, implementation, and supervision of operations, taking into consideration best industry practices and standards.
Identify all key potential social and environmental impacts and risks of transactions and ensure that their magnitude and significance are well understood by internal parties and approvers.
Manage and conduct environmental and social safeguarding due diligence.
Ensure the applicable ESG policies, guidelines, and project-specific requirements are adhered to, and that there is the necessary commitment and capacity to manage social and environmental impacts and/or risks adequately, supported by mechanisms that facilitate implementation.
Work with various entities and other relevant departments to mobilize technical and financial support to enhance the environmental and social sustainability of operations, adding value to operations, including thorough external expertise where deemed necessary.
Conduct consultations with stakeholders in accordance with relevant policies and guidelines and be responsible for reporting on such.
Requirements:
Preferably a Degree in Sustainability with relevant experience in sustainability-related matters including sustainability reporting, strategy, and data collection.
At least 6-8 years of relevant experience.
Knowledge regarding Bursa's Sustainability Reporting Guide.
Familiarity with sustainability issues and material topics specific to the Oil & Gas Industry.
Experience with data collection and reporting for sustainability matters.
Knowledge regarding sustainability reporting frameworks (e.g., TCFD, GRI).
Experience with conducting materiality assessments to identify and prioritize material matters.
Strategic thinking: Creating a workable plan to implement and achieve sustainability goals and objectives within the stipulated timeframe.
Communication: Designing and innovating ways to communicate Gas Malaysia's sustainability goals and objectives to the company's stakeholders.
Report Writing: Ensuring that sustainability data is presented in a clear, concise, and presentable manner for the company's stakeholders.#J-18808-Ljbffr
