K2LD is well-positioned to deliver projects across the Asia Pacific region.Role DescriptionThis Senior Architect role within the K2LD Malaysia team will form a pivotal part of this growing office. Therefore, they must have sound knowledge of architectural design and processes and an understanding of technical requirements and how these are applied to various projects. A person operating at this level is expected to independently manage a variety of projects and teams to delivery projects to completion in Malaysia. The role will also require supporting the Melbourne office on Australian based projects. Reporting To:Associates, Senior Associates and PrincipalsQualifications and ExperienceA minimum of 8 years' experience, across a mix of project typologies including commercial, retail and multi residentialMaster's Degree in Architecture or equivalent, and registered with Lembaga Arkitek MalaysiaHighly proficient in RevitExperience leading different project stages with a focus on construction stageProject management expertise, with a proven track record of successful project deliveryAbility to run teams of up to 10 people across multiple projects simultaneouslyExperience implementing construction methodologies, local authorities' processes and procurement processesStrong stakeholder management skills with client, authorities, builder and consultantsKey CompetenciesThe Senior Architect would be expected to ensure the successful running of projects at K2LD by undertaking the following:Be flexible and adaptable, embracing the varying roles the Senior Architect is expected to fulfil across K2LD's project portfolioProactively identify, assess, and mitigate any project risks, escalating them where required for resolutionDemonstrate excellent time management skills with the ability to develop project programs and monitor and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously ensuring all project milestones meet agreed timeframesChampion the design on a project in conjunction with the Melbourne team ensuring the K2LD design ethos in upheldUtilize effective problem solving and negotiation skills to make informed, timely, and effective decisionsApply knowledge of authority requirements to prepare documentation for permit approvals Apply building contract administration knowledge and experience to be able to act as principal consultant including in the Superintendent Officer role administering various contracts on site Business Development:The Senior Architect would be expected to support growth opportunities that are presented to the business, this would include, contributing their knowledge to tenders, working with current clients to create more opportunities and promoting K2LD in their daily interactions.
