Key Purpose
The Senior Associate in Debt Markets supports the Debt Markets Department by providing advisory and structuring solutions to clients. This includes facilitating bridging financing through Islamic or conventional loans, bank guarantees, syndicated loans, corporate bonds, Sukuk issuances, and debt restructuring.
The primary responsibility of the Senior Associate is to assist the Team Lead, Director, or Associate Director in developing investment banking solutions for clients.
Key AccountabilitiesAssist in preparing information requisition lists and conducting internal credit risk ratings (ICRR), know-your-customer (KYC) checks, conflict-of-interest (COI) assessments, and CCRIS updates.
Draft deal clearance memoranda, credit proposals, presentation materials for the credit committee, and submission documents for regulators.
Review legal documents and oversee financing disbursements and Sukuk/bond issuances.
Collaborate with the risk team on credit proposal queries and assist in preparing pitch proposals and mandates.
Conduct research for transactions, track approvals, monitor deadlines, and assess client financial health.
Maintain proper documentation and filing of working files.
Qualifications, Experience & SkillsBachelor's degree in economics, Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
Capital Markets and Services Representative's Licence (CMSRL) and Credit Certification from AICB, or equivalent qualifications, are advantageous.
3 to 5 years of experience in debt markets, investment banking, and related fields.
Basic credit analysis and financial modelling skills are required.
