Senior Buyer - Penang - Comet Group

We are seeking a customer- and team-oriented individual for our Plasma Control Technologies division at the Penang site.
As a Senior Buyer, you will play a key role in ensuring timely uninterrupted materials availability per planning requirements.
Key Responsibilities:Place Purchase Orders for direct materials per requirements driven by MRP and work with Planning to analyze planning requirements to ensure materials availability for production.
Communicate with Supply Chain/Materials managers to review material deliveries to complete work order demands.
Review non-compliant issues and order changes and work with manufacturing engineers and supply chain team members to schedule replacements or repairs.
Issue quotes, in coordination with Supply Chain/Materials Managers, and update Materials Master data and Info records as required.
Own primary accountability for OTD supplier performance >98% and resolve order and delivery related supplier problems/escalation processes.
Requirements:Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree preferred.
Minimum 5 years Purchasing experience.
Microsoft Outlook, SAP, and Excel proficiency.
