Job Responsibilities:
Project Management:Lead and manage multiple civil engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Design and Planning:Develop detailed designs, plans, and specifications for a variety of civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, buildings, and other infrastructure.
Plan all construction operations and schedule.
Technical Expertise:Provide technical guidance and support to project teams, including technicians.
Review and approve engineering drawings, calculations, and reports.
Prepare technical concept papers, proposals, and presentation materials for project progress status.
Compliance:Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.
Prepare and submit necessary documentation and permits.
Quality Control:Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all work meets or exceeds industry standards.
Client Relations:Maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
Communicate project progress, address concerns, and provide solutions to any issues that arise.
Team Leadership:Mentor and develop junior engineers and staff.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
Budget Management:Develop and manage project budgets, including cost estimation, resource allocation, and financial reporting.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Propose innovative solutions to improve project efficiency and sustainability.
Key Results/Objectives (KPIs):Minimum project costing, ensure timely project delivery, optimal resource utilization, and zero complaints during/after project handover.
Job Requirements:
Education Level:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
A Master's degree is preferred.
Job Experience:10-15 years of relevant experience in civil engineering, with a focus on infrastructure projects.
Specific Skills & Computer Skills:Software: Microsoft Office, Auto CAD, C++ programs, Photoshop (basic), SketchupPro (basic), Civil 3D, or similar.
Personal Characteristics:Well communication skills, able to multitask, excellent project management and supervision skills, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
