As the Senior Data Analyst of the Kuala Lumpur office, you will be the senior contributor to our data science and analytics solutions, and the primary partner on delivery projects for Mintel's commercial teams and clients in the APAC region.
Your role will involve managing a small team of up to 5 technical analysts in the Kuala Lumpur office, supporting global consulting projects, and executing custom work for APAC clients.
What You Will Be Doing:Support the growth of data science and analytics solutions in APAC while leading and mentoring a small team of technical analysts.
Own the successful planning and delivery of project-level work, including commercial pursuits, collaborating closely with Mintel's consulting teams to achieve shared team revenue goals through data science and analytics capabilities.
Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, product development, and researchers across DS&A to advance capabilities and deliver innovative solutions to client problems using Mintel's owned data and products.
Manage several custom projects and initiatives concurrently, negotiating priorities with stakeholders, proactively seeking feedback, and managing through change as needed.
Develop positive relationships with stakeholders and clients, ensuring successful scoping and delivery of projects while assisting in pipeline generating activity and Mintel's product development processes.
Coach and mentor data analysts, data scientists, and consultants within Mintel, fostering a culture of collaboration.
Drive advanced analytics capabilities focused on gleaning insights from data, developing value-added data visualizations, dashboards, and applying data science models to solve client problems.
Collaborate globally with members of the Data Science and Analytics team to ensure a consistent approach to technical developments aligned with client needs, enhancing DS&A client offerings and custom data solutions.
Stay current on emerging data science technologies and quantitative techniques as part of a fluid, innovation-focused team.

Experience:Must have experience working in CPG, FMCG, or market research.
Technical Skills:Proficient in using Python for data analysis, excellent SQL skills, and experience with at least one BI tool; Looker development is a plus.
Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and oral) to communicate with both technical and non-technical team members.
Experience Level:5-7 years of experience in an advanced analytical role that balances technical proficiency with soft skills.
