Job Purpose:
Primary responsibility is running the desk's proprietary Rates Trading, Interest Rate Futures, and cross markets trading portfolio.
Active interbank participation in Fixed Income, IRS and Futures trading and market making to support Interest Rates business. Collaboration with Sales stakeholders to develop and grow sales franchise.
To run cross markets trading portfolio to generate profits.
Able to structure, coordinate and execute interest rates derivatives structuring for client solutions.
Administer new derivatives product development for proprietary trading.
Guide, lead and mentor junior traders across the franchise in trading and technical knowledge.
Job Responsibilities:
To quote competitive Fixed Income and IRS pricing to internal and external customers. To monitor and manage Bank's Interest Rates exposure.
To run proprietary Rates, Interest Rate Futures and cross markets trading to generate profits.
To assist Sales Team in marketing and market-making to improve market liquidity and maintain good rapport with clients.
To provide competitive pricing and hedges to Division and other Strategic Business Units.
Ensure internal and external customers are served professionally and quoted competitive pricing at all times.
To maintain good rapport with counterparties and other strategic partners.
Keep abreast of market developments and update line manager(s) on key issues which may affect Treasury business areas.
To assist the Head of Division, Head of Department in preparing the financial budget and action planning.
Ensure compliance to BNM, Bank's policies and Dealers Code of Ethics in carrying out daily operations.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor degree and/or professional qualification in a relevant discipline.
At least 7 years dealing experience in Fixed Income and IRS market making and trading.
PKMC qualification.
Possess strong analytical skills.
Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with different levels of stakeholders.
