Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
Design expertise in HV and LV power distribution, AC/DC power supply, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, SCADA, renewable energy systems, and electrical machines.
Deliver mechanical designs for industrial buildings and data centres, including clean rooms, industrial plants, cold/dry rooms, hoisting systems, and automated warehouses.
Manage projects to ensure high-quality work, timely delivery, and adherence to budget constraints.
Utilize computer simulation software relevant to engineering design.
Engage with regulatory authorities, ensuring compliance and facilitating approvals.
Maintain strong client relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
Provide guidance to engineers on project administration and contractual matters.
Lead technical discussions and resolve common design challenges with engineers.
Apply computer simulation tools to enhance design precision and efficiency.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering. A postgraduate qualification in a related field is an added advantage.
5–10 years of relevant experience in electrical design.
At least 3 years of design experience in areas such as HV and LV power distribution, AC/DC power supply, renewable energy, lighting, earthing, lightning protection, SCADA, and electrical machines.
Preferable experience with industrial buildings and/or data centres.
Proficiency in using computer simulation software for engineering design is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge and experience working with regulatory authorities.
Excellent understanding of Codes of Practice and the local authority submission process.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on large-scale projects to achieve client objectives.
Registered with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM), with preference for Professional Engineers (PE) holding a Practicing Certificate.
Experience in renewable energy, particularly solar power, is a plus.
