Objectives of the position:
The major task of the candidate is to be knowledgeable, advance the technical ability, provide supervision and guidance, and be responsible for the technical quality of the engineering activities of the group.
The main focuses of the position should be to ensure that the design integrity is not compromised and to manage and facilitate effective completion of the process and detailed design.
The main responsibility of the position should be to support quotation and tendering activities and the project execution team on project detail design matters, support and participate in commissioning and plant troubleshooting activities.
Role & Responsibilities:
Prepare and develop technical specifications and cost estimates for electrical and control design related items to support project and tender or quotation activities.
Collaborate with project teams and departments and gauge the detail design process of various projects to ensure project completion on time.
Prepare and review engineering design work for technical accuracy, costing accuracy, and meeting technical requirements.
Prepare and review instrumentation requirements and selection with the help of suppliers.
Commissioning activities related to electrical, instrument, and control testing.
Provide technical leadership and raise the competence of the detail engineering discipline.
Identify and contact potential technology partners to enhance and complement Tialoc capability.
Establish an Engineering Knowledge Database (including optimization of engineering standards and formats and optimization of engineering/technical library).
Strive to improve efficiency and sustainability of process and engineering design, reducing project costs and meeting customer expectations.
Maintain a high level of expertise in their field or sector.
Education:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Instrumentation/Automation/Control Engineering.
Working Experience:
Requires 5 years of experience in a similar field.
Proven supervisory and technical skills.
